Pick Sixty’s football picks were 8-2-1 ATS last week and we are looking to build on the success with a full card in Week 7. All NFL picks backed by SDQL research at the Sports Database!
We begin this week with the Seattle Seahawks, who are looking to bounce back off that home loss to Dallas. Seattle was buzzing on Twitter Friday when the team announced they had trade WR Percy Harvin to the New York Jets and you can bet that this week’s gameplan was geared from the get go around a Harvin-less offense. We are looking for Russell Wilson’s mobility to be a key factor in this matchup and we also expect the Hawks to play a much more disciplined game than the one we saw in Washington two weeks ago. Who knows, maybe Harvin’s complaining about those touchdowns he had called back are what triggered this entire trade? The Hawks season has been just what you’d expect for a team wearing the Super Bowl champs target and as they try to regroup, one thing HC Pete Carroll will not tolerate is a disruption to his team chemistry.
Pick: Take the Hawks -6.5 points
PANTHERS at PACKERS
NFL Odds: Green Bay -7 and O/U 49
The Panthers have made some steady progress this season despite injuries and I think it’s been overlooked with this line. Their last two games Carolina put up 30-plus points against a pair of defenses ranked ninth and 13th and they should find some room against the Pack. QB Cam Newton has 4-1 SU/ATS record when playing his second of back-to-back roadies and the Panthers scored 20-plus points in all five of those games (28 PPG). Overall, Carolina has won 11-straight games ATS as a road dog on grass and we’ll look for Cam to be the difference maker here as the Panthers stay within a score.
Pick: Take the Panthers
WEEK 7 NFL BEST BET!
For our top ATS pick this week we are going with the Kansas City Chiefs to cover in San Diego. The Super Chargers have looked impressive in wins over Jacksonville, Oakland and the New York Jets but this is a step up in class. HC Andy Reid knows how to get his team ready for big divisional road games and with the advantage of the bye week we are looking for the Chiefs to play their best road game of the season. Divisional home faves off a divisional road win have been solid fade material in NFL betting and in this case, we feel like the oddsmaker has gone too far with the line.
Pick: Take the Chiefs
