The Riders look to maintain their perfect record in tonight’s game against the Stampeders
Friday night CFL betting action has the Saskatchewan Roughriders in Calgary, putting their undefeated record on the line against the Stampeders. Odds for this game opened at Calgary -3 and O/U 56 and they remained fairly steady throughout the week but it appears the gameday money with online sportsbooks is starting to flow towards the road dog and the “Over”.
WEEK 7 CFL – ROUGHRIDERS AT STAMPEDERS (-3, O/U 56.5)
It’s the second meeting this season between the two western rivals and although Calgary led 21-14 at the half in Week 2, Saskatchewan stormed back in the final 30 minutes, shutting out the Stamps 22-0 for a 36-21 final. Calgary has won three-straight games since that contest but all three came at the expense of weaker Eastern opponents. The Riders took down Toronto 39-28 before a convincing home and home sweep against Hamilton.
Kevin Glenn gets the nod at quarterback for the Stamps after Drew Tate suffered a set-back in practice this week and from what we have witnessed in the past, the Stamps offense shouldn’t skip a beat with Glenn at the controls. Glenn and the Stamps will be facing much tougher competition against a Saskatchewan defence that has given up the fewest TD’s and points in the CFL through six games.

Calgary was held to just 57 net yards in the second-half of the Week 2 loss at Mosaic Stadium
QB Darian Durant makes his return to the Riders lineup after nursing an injury over the bye week and will attempt to lead his team to a league best 6-0 record. Durant has been much more consistent in 2013 but what stands out the most for Double-D is the improved ball protection. Durant has yet to throw an interception in the 2013 campaign and leads the CFL with an efficiency rating of 136.9.
Although Durant has looked solid so far, much of the team’s success can be attributed to a supporting cast that is averaging more than 430 yards per game. It makes them a handful for even the toughest of squads and since 2007 the Riders are 13-6 SU and 16-3 ATS vs. teams with a winning percentage of .750 or more. CFL PLAY OF THE WEEK
The Riders have talent on both sides of the ball and an offensive line that is arguably the best in the CFL. The Stamps will also have their hands full trying to stop the league-leading rusher Kory Sheets who has eclipsed the 100 yard marker in each of the Riders five games this year. With so much talent on both offense and defense it’s hard to go against the Green Riders.
