Betting trends and opinions for Saturday’s card along with a teaser, a total and six power ratings picks
This week’s NFL card is like a loaded gift basket with games on Thursday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday – perfect for the holiday spirit! We kicked off the week with a winner on Titans at Jags game and have booked a few more totals for the week along with two sides and a teaser. The Pick Sixty Power Ratings are also “live” for Week 16 and after last week’s 5-2 ATS showing, these plays are now hitting 75-percent against the spread since Week 12 (18-6 ATS).
SATURDAY NFL PICKS
Philly is laying -7 points on the road against Washington and we have conflicting systems on the side for this game with a few angles suggesting value on the “Under” 51 as well. The Eagles have a notable advantage of the Skins in almost every department and after last week’s beatdown, we have little doubt Chip Kelly will come out guns a blazing tonight but this spread is just a little too tall for our liking. We played the Eagles in a teaser to one of Sunday’s games.

CHARGERS at NINERS
This is a tough game to call. San Diego is coming off two tough matchups vs. the Pats and Broncos but before that they had won three-straight including a road win at Baltimore, their second best road game of the season (at BUF in Week 3 was No. 1). The Chargers have not typically played well following a matchup vs. Denver, especially on the road, but there is a chance the Bolts have saved their best for the last two weeks.
Mike McCoy keyed it up just right last year, winning his final four regular season games to hit the playoffs at full stride. They caught the Broncos at a good time in Week 15 on Thursday night because the Broncos (12-2 SU) had already clinched home field advantage for the playoffs. And then San Diego carried its momentum right through to a pair of divisional home wins to finish. When January hit, the Chargers were primed for a playoff upset in Cincinnati as +6 dogs, winning 27-10 straight-up.
This year, San Diego gave a good effort at home in Week 14 against the Pats but came up short. Their game against Denver was much less than spectacular but with two critical road games on-deck to finish the season, I suspect we should see a solid effort from Rivers and the gang tonight. If San Diego wins the next two games they will be 10-6 SU and could win tie-breakers over Baltimore and KC, depending on what those teams do in the final two weeks. San Diego has already beaten Baltimore and they meet KC in Wk 17 for a revenge game following their Week 7 loss. Our Power Ratings say San Fran is the play at -1 point or less but our guts say Chargers win. Our official pick is on the total and we got in early in the week at 41.5.
Pick: Take the UNDER

POWER RATING PICKS
We noticed a trend last week that teams off a loss in our power rating system are 8-1 ATS and that’s “live” on three plays for Week 16. As noted above, we have conflicting opinions on the side in California but these plays are computer generated and once the database kicks them out, we don’t make adjustments based on personal opinion. The teams off a straight-up loss are marked with a ‘*’ – Here is the list.
