Toronto has been almost unbeatable on the road this season but the Ti-Cats will have something to say about that and we breakdown the Turkey Day action with a CFL prediction on the side.
The East-leading Toronto Argonauts take on the Hamilton Tiger-Cats Monday in the second half of a home and home that has the Boatmen looking to avenge a 33-19 home turf loss to the Tabbies. The line has hovered around ‘Pick em’ throughout the week with most online books getting balanced action from the Ontario CFL betting contingent.
WEEK 16 CFL – ARGOS vs. TI-CATS (‘Pick em’ and O/U 56.5)
QB Ricky Ray returns to the lineup for the Argos (9-5 SU) and the timing couldn’t be any better for the Double Blue as they sit just four points up on the Cats with only three weeks remaining in the 2013 CFL regular season. Ray’s return bolsters an already strong Argos attack but after missing several weeks due to injury there is bound to be timing issues between Ray and his receivers. The Argos are 6-1 on the road this year and went 4-2 while Ray recovered from a shoulder injury sustained against the Stamps in Week 9.
Meanwhile, Ti-Cats (7-7 SU) QB Henry Burris and his squad have been nothing short of spectacular when facing Eastern Conference opponents in 2013, their only loss coming against the Argos way back in Week 1. It’s a nice change for a club who went 4-6 SU vs. the East in 2012 including a five-game losing streak mid-season that sunk Hamilton to the bottom of the division.
Today the Cats have a glorious opportunity to gain ground on the Argos and at the same time win the season series which could have a dramatic effect on the standings in the next few weeks. With Burris and his Cats coming off a huge road win in Toronto, we like the Tabbies to take advantage of a potentially rusty Argo offense.
