Our Week 1 NFL picks were perfect and for Week 2, we focus on the Cowboys at Broncos
Dallas had had its share of distractions this NFL season, namely to running back Ezekiel Elliot. They got past that in time for a big win over the New York Giants in Week 1 and this travel to Denver for a non-conference game against the Broncos.
CB Orlando Scandrick is out for Dallas but they don’t have to be overly concerned about the Broncos’ average passing game. The key will be getting a good pass rush and it will be interesting to see if the Mile High Air takes its toll on Cowboy defenders.
This should be a great matchup in the pits between Dallas O-Linemen and the Broncos front seven. I was looking at the first-half to stay under but decided to go with a full-game play on the “Under” 44 points.
Denver’s D looked great against San Diego until the fourth quarter and then they were put into some tough spots by turnovers. If Denver’s offense doesn’t turn those balls over, they win by double-digits. Denver’s D should be in better shape, even after just one game, and they are home for a second-straight week. This home field advantage is for real in Denver.
COWBOYS AT BRONCOS PREDICTION
Dallas has three more important conference games on-deck at Arizona, vs. the LA Rams and then Green Bay before a Week 6 bye. The Cowboys had a great run D last year and on the road, they qualify for a system that is 63-percent effective with well over 100 plays.
