SDQL trends with benefits from Sunday’s late afternoon game between the Dallas Cowboys and Carolina Panthers
Wow, the run up to our first week of the 2018 NFL season is finally over and as I sit here watching NFL Red Zone, my sense of excitement is tempered with a feeling of relief. There are so possibilities during the off-season on what you can choose to devote your precious time towards. NFL systems, free agency, coaching changes, betting strategies, futures and season win totals. Everyone has to take their own path.
Along with my full-time job and daily ‘life stuff,’ I put a great deal of time and effort towards NFL prep from February through August. As the season draws closer, the intensity ramps up. Time to see if it pays off.
COWBOYS AT PANTHERS
Line: Carolina -2.5 and O/U 42.5
Since John Fox took over the team in 2002, the Carolina Panthers have been the strongest NFL team against the spread vs. non-divisional foes with the total was greater than 41. Home or away, they are 55-37-2 ATS (59.8%) and HC Ron Rivera has carried the tradition, going 35-24-1 ATS (59.3%) in this spot since 2011.
SDQL TRENDS WITH BENEFITS = 59% ATS on 59 Plays
team = Panthers and total > 41 and NDIV and coach = Ron Rivera
As a home fave the Cats are 15-10 ATS with Rivera and check out this angle for Week 1 home faves against teams that won at least eight games last season.
SDQL TRENDS WITH BENEFITS: 62% on 130 Plays!
week = 1 and HF and o:PRSW >= 8
Dallas was 9-7 last season including a 6-2 record on the road, but the transition this offense has dealt with in the off-season is a lot for anyone, let alone a young QB. Dak Prescott’s top two targets, Dez and Jason Witten, are both gone. RB Zeke is a stud but when you consider the loss of C Travis Frederick, I like the Panthers’ chances here.
