Quick Sixty Betting Tips

Online wagering tips, odds, picks and trends from today’s NBA card along with the Monday Night Football game between the Miami Dolphins and Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Every bettor has felt the sting of a bad beat and it’s really up to each individual how long you’re going to let a pick six, fumble or missed field goal cause you mental grief and anguish. Spend enough time gambling and you eventually learn to get over it pretty quick. But once in a while there are lucky breaks, tickets that were halfway to the floor which we have to grab onto and cash before the wagering goddess changes her mind. Pick Sixty’s Early Week 10 play on the Tennessee Titans Team Total “Over” 26.5 was one of those bets and the point of this mid-Monday rant is that for all your bad beats, sometimes you gotta remember the wins like this one, too. Life has a way of balancing things out.

The Broncos covered against San Diego and we missed on the Niners total so our SDQL betting feature, “Trends with Benefits” record moves to 5-4. Thursday Night Football picks stayed hot and the first-half “Over” play on Washington at Minnesota (Skins led 24-14 at the half) improves that record to 6-1 (+$3,950) on the season. All in all it was another strong week at Pick Sixty Sports and we’re still just warming up.

If you haven’t had a chance, we invite you to stop by our new Pick Sixty Facebook page for more handicapping tips, betting news and predictions for all your favorite sports. With our limited staff (most of us still work full-time jobs) there are going to be times where social media is the best method for us to post our plays. MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL TRENDS

MIAMI at TAMPA BAY
Odds: Dolphins -2.5 and O/U 40.5

Miami is coming off a 22-20 home upset win over the Cincinnati Bengals and this has been a precarious spot for Monday road teams, the last 11 going 1-10 SU and 3-8 ATS. The theory is that NFL odds makers know they can set a line higher based on a team who won last week but once this team assumes the role of favorite and takes to the road, they are out of their comfort zone. Believe it or not this trend dates back to 1990 so it’s fairly rare and the most recent winner was the Denver Broncos in Week 6, 2009 over San Diego (divisional).

Dolphins HC Joe Philbin is 3-3 SU/ATS in non-conference games with the Fish but it’s worth noting that all three wins were at home. It’s also worth pointing out that his Over/Under record in those six games is 5-1 O/U with all three road games going “Over” by margins of 5, 1 and 6.5 points.

Here are a two more trends to consider thanks to our good friends at Killer Sports and SportsDatabase.com. Simply click on the link and you will get a complete breakdown of each profile.

Since 2009, NFL underdogs are 29-14 ATS off a road loss where they were leading through the third quarter (4-0 ATS this year)

Non-conference games this season where at least one team was one a two-game losing streak are 18-4 O/U (82-percent)

NBA TIPS EVERY DAY!

You want to bet basketball every day but you don’t know where to start. Most of the forums are littered with picks by members who don’t even bet the games themselves and the lines are moving quickly. Remember, it’s a long season in the NBA and there will always be plenty of action down the road. Our advice today is to visit KillerSports.com and sign up for the free NBA Daily Tipsheet. It gets emailed to you every morning and it’s clear and easy to understand. Here are a couple trends from today’s report:

The Atlanta Hawks (-2.5) have won eight-straight against the Charlotte Bobcats and Atlanta is 10-0 ATS away from after registering 30-plus assists on their home court – Click to view

Denver (-2.5) is in Utah for a 9 pm ET tip and the Nuggs are on a five-game ATS skid following games where G Andre Miller played less than 25 minutes – Click to view
