Two of the hottest teams in the NHL square-off tonight at the Garden when the Tampa Bay Lightning take on the Boston Bruins!
Tampa Bay has won 10-straight and leads the NHL with 102 points
TAMPA BAY AT BOSTON
Line: Bruins -120 and 6.5 OV -120
Tampa Bay was in New York last night, needing overtime to finish the Rangers 4-3. It’s the third game in a row that the Bolts have played past 60 minutes but fatigue hasn’t been a factor yet. Tampa Bay has outshot their opponent in three of four and they have not allowed a power play goal in seven-straight games.
Tonight is the third game in four days for Tampa, another angle working against them. In the past two years, however, the Bolts are 13-5 on the road in a 3-in-4. They’re also 6-2 away in this spot this year with no rest, including three wins this month.

Boston is 8-0-1 in its past nine games and looking to end a streak of five-straight losses against Tampa Bay, dating back to last year’s playoffs. The Bruins are second in the Atlantic but still 19 back from Tampa Bay. Boston’s power play ranks second in the league, just behind Tampa, so this game will have a playoff feel to it.
Tuukka Rask will start for the Bruins and he is 20-8-5 on the year with a 2.40 GAA and .920 save percentage. Rask’s last home game was Feb. 12, a 6-3 win over the Hawks. Louis Domingue is the likely starter for Tampa, given their rest and travel situation. Domingue has been a stud this year, going 19-4 as the backup to Andrei Vasilevskiy. Dom has a 2.86 GAA and .908 SP. He has won five-straight starts on the road.
NHL PICKS: BOLTS AND BRUINS
This is only the second meeting this season and Tampa took the first one 3-2 in December. It’s a tough spot but road teams on zero rest are 11-1 this year vs. teams they’ve dominated for five-straight matchups. Thanks to Boston’s recent success, we feel we are getting a bargain price.
