The basketball season is winding down and the playoff window closing fast for the Utah Jazz. They’ll try and keep hope alive for one more night as they travel to Minnesota Monday to take on the T-Wolves.
Sports betting shops offer this game with a line of Jazz -4.5 points and the total sits at 197, down from its original post of 199. Public money is flowing in on the Jazz with one sports handicapping site suggesting 65-percent action on the favorite. Bettors at this time of year need to be cautious laying road points and remember the old saying, “Must win does not mean WILL win!”
Pro capper Greg Dempson said he actually leans to the dog getting points in this contest and offered a free pick for tonight on the “Under” 199, before the line started to fall.
Minnesota have struggled with shooting vs. the Jazz and the past three games the T-Wolves hit just 25-percent of their attempts from beyond the arc. Ranked 25th overall, Utah (37-percent) is not known as defensively strong team defending long balls and they are worse on the road, but at 44-percent the Wolves are one of the league’s worst shooting teams overall.
KillerSports.com reports an 8-0-1 ATS record for the Jazz the past nine times after a win where Paul Millsap shot 66-plus percent from the floor and the Jazz are 6-1 ATS in the past seven meetings with the Timberwolves overall.
In respect to location (home/away), each of these teams has an Over/Under record above .500 on the season but Minnesota has stayed south of the total in 13 of 18 games this season when getting points at home. They can’t seem to get untracked vs. mid- to upper-tier teams and for this contest Mr. Dempson highlighted the following NBA system:
– April road teams playing their fourth (or less) game in 10 days have a record of 52 overs and 96 unders (65-percent “Under”) when the total is between 190 and 199.5 points
For tonight’s game, consider a play on the Jazz and Wild to stay “Under” 197 points!
