Monday Night Football, NFL Picks: Steelers at Titans

All four teams in the AFC North have six wins to date but none of them has a better opportunity to take over the outright lead in the division than the Pittsburgh Steelers tonight against the Tennessee Titans

The snow has started to fly in some of the northern states and if you’ve ever shovelled snow during a blizzard, only to find that the work you did in the beginning has been completely covered back up, you get the idea of how we’re feeling right now about our Week 11 football picks. As we head into Monday Night Football, Pick Sixty is 4-4 with flat bets and our five-week ATS win streak hinges on the Steelers to win by seven or more.

NFL Odds: Steelers -6.5 and O/U 46

The Steelers were on a nice groove at home but like so many stars who were looking for success in the Big Apple, they fell flat on their ear against the Jets. There were a lot of sports betting trends stacked against Pittsburgh last week and chalk one more win up for each of them, but what’s changed this week? Pittsburgh is still a road fave, which they are only 15-28-1 ATS as since 2006, but there are some major differences here.

First of all, the Steelers are coming off a straight-up loss and Big Ben is perfect in this spot since 2010, outscoring opponents 23-15. Second, Pittsburgh is off a road game and since 2012 the team is 5-2 ATS on the road for a second-straight week. The third thing to consider is the look-ahead situation. Last week the Steelers were riding high off a big homestand and on the road against a losing team with a Monday Night Football game on-deck. That’s look-ahead material at its finest. Now the Steelers have a loss in their rearview mirror and a bye on the horizon and the road team is this spot has scored 34-plus points in five of the past six games (6-0 SU/ATS).

Good teams know how to bounce back and road faves in this exact spot are 19-5-1 ATS (79-percent) since 1990. The Titans are also fitting a dog profile for highly penalized teams which is on a 10-2 ATS run betting against the home dog up to 7.5 points. We issued and early play for the Steelers on November 14 (Monday Night Football – why wait?) and if you click on the link, you’ll also get a sneak preview of our early Week 12 free picks for the Thursday night game and the Sunday nighter. Line value is key folks and we don’t take days off during NFL betting season. Our play is on road fave at -6 and we still endorse a play up to -6.5. Good luck!
